1. What is the Tour of Andaman?

The Tour of Andaman is an unforgettable cycling adventure through the breathtaking landscapes of the Andaman Islands. Riders will experience lush tropical forests, coastal roads with panoramic ocean views, and challenging yet rewarding terrains, all while being supported by an expert crew.
 

2. When and where is the Tour of Andaman 2025 happening?

Tour of Andaman, Edition - 5! 2025 will take place from 20-26 Sept 2025. The ride will start in Port Blair and take you through stunning locations across the Andaman Islands.

3. How can I register for the Tour of Andaman?

4. Can I withdraw or transfer my registration?

Yes, you can transfer your registration to a friend if you can’t make it. For cancellation and refund policies, please check our page at https://www.teamparikrama.com/refund-policy

5. Is there a rider limit for the tour?

Yes, to ensure the best experience and safety for all, we have a limited number of slots to 50 spots only. Sign up early to secure your spot!


On the Road
 

6. What kind of support will I get on the ride?

  • 3-4 support stations along the day’s route

  • At least one patrolling vehicle for assistance

  • A sweep vehicle trailing the last group of riders

  • Ambulance and medical staff available throughout the ride
     

7. What is sweeping?

If a rider is unable to continue for any reason, they will be picked up by the sweep vehicle. The sweep truck starts operations at sundown or as needed. Your safety is our priority, so please cooperate with the crew if asked to board the sweep vehicle.

8. Can I ride after sundown?

No, for safety reasons, riders must complete their ride before sundown. If the sweep truck reaches you, we request your cooperation to board.

9. What happens if I lag behind?

Each support station has a cutoff time. If a rider does not reach a station in time, they will be transported to the next checkpoint by the sweep vehicle.

Accommodation & Facilities

10. Where will we be staying?

Participants will be accommodated in comfortable hotels on a twin-sharing basis throughout the tour. Details on specific hotels will be available on our itinerary.
 

11. Is accommodation included before and after the tour?

We provide accommodation in Port Blair on the night of the tour briefing. However, riders need to arrange their own stay post-tour.
 

12. Can someone accompany me on the tour?

We do encourage non-participants on the tour. Special requests may be considered on a payable basis with prior approval.
 

Travel & Transport
 

13. How do I get to Andaman for the event?

You need to fly to Port Blair’s Veer Savarkar International Airport (IXZ). Airlines operate regular flights from major Indian cities.
 

14. Is airport transfer provided?

No, but Port Blair has plenty of taxi services available. The host hotel is just a short ride from the airport.


15. How do I transport my bike to Andaman?

You can fly with your bike as checked-in baggage. Ensure it is packed securely in a bike box or bag with bubble wrap, or  drop your bike 20 Days before at ProBikers and collect your bikes on the tour.

 

Tour Inclusions

16. What’s included in the Tour of Andaman package?

  • 6 nights’ accommodation (including pre-tour night in Port Blair)

  • Breakfast and dinner daily

  • Meals, refreshments, and hydration stations during the ride

  • Luggage transport service

  • Medical assistance (doctor and ambulance)

  • Mechanical support & basic spare parts (charged at actuals)

  • Bike transport assistance pre and post-tour

  • Exclusive Tour of Andaman jersey and goodies!
     

17. Is the bike included in the fee?

No, riders need to bring their own bikes. Any human-powered cycle is allowed.


18. Are spare bikes available?

Yes, we will have a limited number of MTB/Hybrid spare bikes for riders in case of breakdowns.


Medical Support
 

19. Is there a medical team on tour?

Yes, we have support from the nearest PHC's:

  • 1 Doctor

  • 1 Nurse

  • 1 Ambulance


20. Where will the ambulance be stationed?

The ambulance will be positioned at the most critical sections of the route and nearest PHC's.
 

21. What should I do in case of a medical emergency?

Call the tour director or any volunteer immediately. Emergency contact numbers will be shared before the tour. 


Luggage & Packing
 

22. How much luggage can I bring?

Each rider is allowed two bag (maximum size: 50 liters). Please adhere to this limit.


23. Can I keep fragile items like a laptop or camera in my luggage?

We strongly advise against placing fragile or expensive items in your baggage. The Tour of Andaman team is not responsible for lost or damaged belongings.
 

Mechanical Support & Bike Spares

24. What if my bike breaks down during the ride?

Riders are expected to handle minor repairs like fixing a flat tire or a slipped chain. In case of mechanical failure, contact the volunteers for assistance. A vehicle will pick you up, but on-road repairs will not be provided.
 

25. Are spare parts available?

Basic spare parts will be available at actual cost. If you have special bike needs, bring your own spares.
