Embarking on a journey to the mesmerizing Lakshadweep Islands, Team Parikrama found themselves under the guidance of a remarkable host: Mirzana Beegum, a 17-year-old trailblazer hailing from Kavaratti, the capital of the Lakshadweep archipelago. With an unyielding spirit and an insatiable passion for adventure, Mirzana had become the youngest scuba diver in the region, fearlessly exploring the enigmatic depths of the ocean that surrounded her island home.

Growing up by the sun-kissed shores of Kavaratti, Mirzana's heart was inexorably drawn to the boundless sea and its myriad mysteries. While her peers busied themselves with ordinary vacation plans, Mirzana nursed an extraordinary ambition: to plunge into the deep embrace of the ocean and come face-to-face with its majestic sharks. An illustrious student at Mount Carmel College, Bangalore Mirzana's journey stood as a testament to her unparalleled determination, diving to an astounding depth of 40 meters—an achievement unrivaled among recent scuba divers.

The bewitching Kavaratti beach, renowned for its crystalline waters, kaleidoscopic coral reefs, and effervescent marine life, had played the role of Mirzana's training ground. Her aquatic curiosity took flight with snorkeling, evolving into a full-fledged passion for scuba diving at the tender age of 13. Fueled by a fervent desire to inspire, Mirzana observed, "Almost 95 percent of the island's population can swim, yet only a fraction has dared to venture into the embrace of the deep waters. My aspiration is to ignite the same fire in others, especially women." Armed with a certification from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), she stood as a beacon of courage and possibility.

Guided by Mirzana's enthusiasm, Team Parikrama has embarked on an adventure of a lifetime, diving into the waters with newfound vigor. The journey will be marked not only by underwater explorations but also by Mirzana's compelling stories of resilience, daring, and deep-rooted connection with the sea.

5-Day Itinerary Hosted by Mirzana Beegum:

Day 1: Island Arrival and Relaxation

- Arrive at Kavaratti and settle into accommodation.

- Bask in the sun and enjoy the pristine beach of Kavaratti.

- Rest and relax, soaking in the tranquil island atmosphere.

Day 2: Dive and Exploration

- Begin the day with a scuba diving session at Agatti Island.

- If possible, visit Bangaram Island for a taste of its beauty.

- Alternatively, savor a delicious local lunch at Kavaratti.

- Spend the evening exploring the island's charms.

Day 3: Kavaratti Delights

- Dive in the morning, with the chance to spot turtles in their natural habitat.

- Explore the island's culture, cuisine, and lifestyle.

- Immerse yourself in the local way of life, guided by Mirzana's insights.

Day 4: Island Wonders

- Visit the Kavaratti Island Museum to delve into the island's history.

- Meet local fishermen and learn about their livelihoods.

- Engage in snorkeling and kayaking to witness the magical coral formations.

- Venture to the lighthouse and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views.

Day 5: Inspiring Encounters and Farewell

- Attend a seminar at Kendriya Vidyalaya, sharing insights and inspiration.

- Depart from Kavaratti and travel back to Agatti.

- Return to Kochi by flight.
